Bright Dip 3 is preferable to chemical polishing, surface activation and oxide film removal for Alloy 42, Kovar lead frames, multi-lead headers and stainless steel. Bright Dip 3 does not contain fluorine compounds which causes problems on wastewater treatment.

Influence of temperature on etching rate
Behavior of etching rate of Alloy 42 lead frame with change of bath temperatures. Bath temperaturs heavily affect on etching rate. Temperature drop from 50℃ to 40℃ results in 25% drop of etching rate.
